Curriculum

Instrumentation and Control Engineering plays a vital role in any industry. The B.Tech. programme is meticulously designed to cope up with the rapid advances in industrial technology. The curriculum begins with foundation courses in mathematics, physics, electronics, mechanics, etc. Emphasis is laid on the programme specific core courses that include Sensors and transducers, Industrial Instrumentation, Measurement systems, Micro-processors, Control systems, etc. During the final semesters the focus is more on application based electives such as Robotics, Optical Instrumentation, Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS), Assistive Devices, etc. The External members of the Board of Studies are drawn from academic institutions of higher learning, Industries and Alumni. Revision of syllabi to meet global standards is a continuous periodical process of the department.
