About Central Library
The Institute has a modern Central Library with a collection of more than two and a half lakh documents, including technical books, reports, standards, CD-ROMs, audio-visual educational materials, and back volumes of journals. The library subscribes to 78 print periodicals, 13,000+ e-journals through ONOS resources, and 1,800+ e-books. It also houses 17,690 back volumes of journals and 16,750 books under the Book Bank Scheme. The Digital Knowledge Centre has been established with 30 computer systems equipped with Internet connectivity to facilitate e-learning and access to digital resources. The entire Central Library is Wi-Fi enabled, providing seamless Internet access to students, faculty members, and researchers for academic, learning, and research activities. The library also provides access to various electronic resources, online databases, e-books, e-journals, and digital learning materials. The Central Library is equipped with a 24 × 7 CCTV surveillance system to ensure the safety and security of library resources and users. CCTV cameras have been installed throughout the library premises, including reading halls, floors, and stack areas, to maintain a secure and user-friendly learning environment. RFID-based Document Identification and Library Security Systems have been implemented in the Central Library since 29th March 2013 to enhance library automation, improve service efficiency, and provide better access and security for library resources.

📚 Library Borrowing Rules
- Check books before borrowing: Inspect books for missing pages, chapters or defects during issue.
- Overdue fine: A fine of Rs. 1.00 per day will be charged after the due date.
- No absence excuse: Absence from institute is not accepted as a reason for late return.
- Identity card required: Books are issued only after verification of identity card.
- Reference materials: Reference books, journals and newspapers cannot be borrowed.
- Leaving institute: Students and staff must return all borrowed materials.
- Damage or theft: Damaging library resources will result in strict action.
- No writing in books: Writing, underlining or marking books is prohibited.
- Recall of books: The librarian may recall issued books whenever required.
- Renewal limit: Books can be renewed only two times.
- Lost books: Lost books must be replaced with the same ISBN/latest edition or payment must be made according to library rules.
- RFID tag damage: A fine will be charged for damaged RFID tags.
- Transaction slip: Borrowers must submit transaction slips at the security desk.
