Dr. S. Vedharaj is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, (NIT-T), Tamil Nadu, India. He received his PhD degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. He was a Post-Doctoral research fellow at the clean combustion research centre (CCRC), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia. He has more than ten years of research experience in the field of IC engines and his major research area includes low-carbon fuels, hydrogen-based fuels, low-temperature combustion, partially premixed combustion, pre-chamber spark ignition system and high-efficiency combustion concepts. He has published 40 research articles in high-quality journals and has been granted one US Patent.
Dr. S. Vedharaj received funding from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) under the early career research award (ECRA) scheme and from NIT-T under the institute seed grant scheme to establish clean combustion laboratory, a research laboratory at NIT-T for performing fundamental spray and flame characterization studies.
