Structural Engineering Laboratory building was constructed from the funds generated from the consultancy offered by the Civil Engineering Department.

SERC – UNDP Sponsored Community based programmed Mitigation Damage to buildings and Structures due to Cyclones

Recognized as Nodal Centre by State Technical Agency for PMGSY works

M.Tech (Environmental Engineering) course started

New Transportation Engineering laboratory was constructed under TEQIP (Rs.22.5 lakhs)

Many faculty members sent abroad for training by TEQIP

Many faculty members of abroad universities are invited for a stay period of One month under TEQIP for providing international exposure

First International (Indo-US) Workshop on Forensic Engineering was conducted during December 2010.

Became approved QIP centre for Engineering College Teachers

Obtained Centre of Excellence in Transportation Engineering (CETransE) from MHRD, Gov. of India (5 crores)
