This is the first building (with a clock tower) you will see when entering  the campus.

National Institute of Technology, Trichy is located on the Trichy-Tanjore highway (NH 67) about 20 km from the city/airport. It is about 28 km from ariport if byepass road is used. You can reach NITT by  taxi/auto/bus from Trichy Railway Junction or Central Bus Stand (which are close to each other) or Airport. Taxi may cost around 700.  Frequent city buses are available from Chatram bus stand (near Rockfort Temple).

The Institute

The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, (NITT), is an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Government of India. The Institute has been imparting technical education in core branches of science and engineering, besides pushing the frontier areas in research. With a vibrant campus and enviable facilities, the Institute provides 10 undergraduate, 31 postgraduate and MS/Ph.D. programmes. NITT is ranked no. 1 among the NITs, and 8th in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), MHRD, Govt. of India.

The Department

The Department of Mathematics is one of the pioneering and the most distinguished departments in NITT. Applying multi-disciplinary research and teaching methods, the department strongly believes in finding mathematical solutions for various social-economic, technological and work related processes and challenges. The department is committed to outstanding graduate training to produce leading scholars in various fields of mathematics. Since its inception, the department has been supporting Ph.D. graduates to carry out challenging research work of wide ranging industrial and social implications. From the academic year 2019-20, the department is offering M.Sc. Mathematics.

The Conference

The objective of the conference is to provide a platform for academics, researchers, students and industry professionals to present their research findings and also be a stage for exchanging ideas in pure and applied mathematics. This international conference covers topics that include but are not limited to Real and Complex Analysis, Differential Equations, Functional Analysis, Numerical Analysis and Optimization.

Abstract Submission and Registration

Abstract (preferably in LATEX format) should be sent to Prof. V. Ravichandran (ravic@nitt.edu). The abstract should include the title of the paper, name of the author presenting it, and institutional address. In case of joint paper, the details of co-authors may be mentioned at the end of the abstract. Those who wish to present a paper should register upon acceptance of the abstract of the paper. Others can register anytime before the last date for registration. Selected papers will be published in a special issue of Journal of Analysis (Springer/ESCI/SCOPUS) after the conference.

Registration form is here and the fee should be paid using SBI Collect.   During the payment process,

  1. Select the state as ‘Tamil Nadu’, and category as ‘Educational Institutions
  2. Choose “Conference and workshop NIT Trichy” (by typing NIT in search box)
  3. Select payment category as “MATHS ICMAA  2022” and fill up the details. In particular, fill 0 or registration fee amount against the category to which you belong.

Registration Fee

  • The registration fee for offline/on campus participants is ₹2500 for Research scholars, ₹3500 for Faculty Members and ₹5000 for participants from Industry. For online participants, the registration fee is ₹1250 for Research scholars, ₹1750 for Faculty Members and ₹2500 for participants from Industry.
  • For participants without presenting a paper, the fee is  ₹1000 for offline and  ₹500 for online participants.
  • Limited accommodation (on sharing basis) is available in the Institute Guest House/Hostels on payment. All correspondence regarding accomodation should be addressed to Prof. P. Saikrishnan (psai@nitt.edu).
