Process control and instrumentation is an interdisiplinary course undertaken by chemical engineering and instrumentation & control engineering department of NIT Tiruchirappalli. Students with background of chemical, instrumentation and electrical can apply for this course. The course covers advance topics in the domain of control systems, process optimization, industrial intrumentation which gives a practical approach to the students. Also students are given chance to select elective courses like Applied soft-computing, Machine Learning, system identification etc to give them exposure to different engineering domains.Projects of practical relevance in these areas are carried out in final year of the course.
