ACHEIVEMENTS BY SHIVAM MISHRA
Shivam Mishra, of 2021-2026 batch, has consistently excelled in major national and regional competitions, representing NIT Trichy with distinction. He secured 1st place at the AIS Design Olympiad 2025 (South Zone) and received a Special Mention at the National Round for designing India’s first Energy Museum, evaluated by leading architects at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. He was also a National Finalist in NIRMAAN (Council of Architecture) for an office design proposal across India’s climatic zones. At the SketchUp Vertical Habitat Competition 2025, his team won 1st place for a modular 60-unit residential tower design. Shivam earned the 1st Runner-up position at X-Change by the Erode Architect Association and achieved a Top 10 national ranking in Design Advance for the concept “Adaptive Arena.” He was a National Finalist in Transparence by Saint-Gobain 2026 under the theme India @ 2047 and placed 1st Runner-up at the AIS Design Olympiad (Chennai edition) for a sustainable façade proposal. His work also received a Commendation Award in Urban Confluence 2026 for contributions toward sustainable built environments. Most recently, he advanced to the City Finale in Bharat Navnirmaan by Times of India (2026) for a Net Zero Building proposal. Across all platforms, Shivam’s work reflects strong design clarity, sustainability focus and consistent excellence at national scale.
IIA BEST OUTGOING STUDENT AWARD 2025
The annual IIA Best Outgoing Student Award is conferred by IIA upon students who demonstrate outstanding achievement in academics, as well as in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. This year, the award is presented to Oviya of the Batch 2020–2025 in recognition of her exemplary performance across all these domains.

AIS DESIGN OLYMPIAD - Special mention award

It’s primarily aimed at architecture students from 3rd to 5th years. AIS (Asahi India Glass )is a leading integrated glass and windows solutions company in India. 5 teams from our college got shortlisted for the regional round. One of the teams was selected for the national round amidst that, which took place in the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.
Our team of Shivam Mishra, a final year student from NIT Trichy and Sanchita Bhagat, from IGDTU, won the Special mention award and a prize of 30k.
11TH ZEMCH CONFERENCE, VIT VELLORE-Best paper award

The Zero Energy Mass Custom Home International Conference aims to tackle issues arising in the delivery of socially, economically, environmentally and humanly sustainable built environments in developed and developing countries.
Saikeerthana Vidyasanjeevi, our final year got the Best paper award on the topic of Sustainability through Accessibility: Effectuating universal design through cost effective and sustainable retrofitting strategies in India, under the theme of Environmental Experiential Design.

Material Optimisation and Design Innovation for Sustainable Future Conference, conducted by the Faculty of Architecture from Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute University, held on 18th and 19th of July 2025 in Chennai.
Snigdha Kureel, our Master's student, won the best paper award for submitting a paper on the topic - A Comprehensive Analysis of Phase Change Materials in Double-skin facade systems- A systematic Review of Research gaps and opportunities for performance and building integration advancements.
ICDIMSE 2.0 2025 Best paper award

ICDIMSE 2.0 2025- 2ND International Conference on Design Innovations and Management for Sustainable Environment held on 26th and 27th June 2025 organised by Sathyabhama Institute of Science and Technology and Eastern Mediterranean University.
Priyadharshini A, our Masters student, won the best paper awards for submitting a paper on the topic - Ventilation a performance of Solar Chimney in various spatial configurations: A comprehensive review.
CMA OPEN SPACES DESIGN HACKATHON - Shortlisted in top 7

The design hackathon was a fast paced, three-day online competition packed with creativity, collaboration and inspiration, trying to shape Chennai’s invaluable open space network.
7 sites were provided all around Chennai which were a part of the 3rd Masterplan. Around 350 teams from all around India participated with varying group capacity, such as architectural firms, independent architects, urban design professionals, environmental activists, common people and students.
4 teams participated from our department, out of which 1 team got shortlisted in top 7.

Continuous Laurels in the field of badminton

Nitya Nandini, our final year, has shown exceptional skill and talent by winning in a row.
All India Inter NIT Tournament 2022- held at NIT Silchar - Badminton girls - gold 1st time
All India Inter NIT Tournament 2023- held at MNIT Jaipur - Badminton girls - gold 2nd time
All India Inter NIT Tournament 2024 - held at NIT Trichy - Badminton girls - gold 3rd time
Most importantly the player of the tournament award all the three times.
