The institution derives its strength from the achievements of its Alumni. Alumni have a definite role in growth of an institution. REC Tiruchirappalli (Now NIT Tiruchirappalli) having the glorious history of providing technical education in the country has a large number of Alumni who have excelled in their fields in India and Abroad. The Institute would like to honour its outstanding Alumni by presenting them Distinguished Alumni Awards for Academic, Research and Managerial Contribution. The alumni those who have completed 25 years after graduation from REC/NIT Tiruchirappalli are invited to file nominations on their own or for on behalf of your batch mates under the following categories:
- Academic/Research Excellence
- Corporate Development/Administration
- Social sciences/Engineering and services/Public administration
- Entrepreneurial Excellence
Each award includes a citation and a certificate. The committee nominated by the Director will be involved in selection of the awards.
Nominations are received in prescribed form through post or email all round the year and will be consolidated every December. Nominations for the year 2008-09 are open.
