• Technical training programme on ‘Real time simulation and 32 bit microprocessor software development’ at the Centro Elettrotechnico Sperimentale Italiano (CESI), ITALY during 24.10.’88 - 16.12.’88.

• Training Programme in the field of  ‘Wind Energy - Generators and Controllers ‘, at University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, Manchester, U.K. as part of the U.K. - India R.E.C.s project on Energy during 13.11.’95 - 29.4.’96.

• Was awarded Overseas Post-graduate Research Scholarship (OPRS) by the Australian Government for pursuing doctoral studies at University of Technology, Sydney, Australia during 1997-2001.

• Visited Singapore to present a technical paper ‘Analysis of Boundaries of Controllable Power Flow with UPFC Considering Line Loss’, in Proc. IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications [ICIEA 2008],in the IEEE ICIEA-2008 conference in June 2008.
