Dr. Tony Marcel Nisha is an architect and academic, with an interest in the role of cultural variables, cross-cultural studies, and synthesis. Her research showcases how socio-cultural aspects have influenced the spatial configuration of Indo-Portuguese houses. She believes that culture defines and shapes who we are as a person and as a community and is the mainstay to create sustainable developments. Her recent probe is to find out how culture and urbanism could be conjointly worked upon to create a sustainable environment which is the need of the hour.
