  • Contributed as a Judge in the Smart India Hackathon, 2019.
  • Contributed as a Coordinator in the Smart India Hackathon, 2019.
  • Contributed as a Coordinator in the Smart India Hackathon, 2018.
  • The following two chips were designed and fabricated successfully using SCL's 180nm technology through CDAC, Bangalore under the SMDP C2SD program:
    • An MFCC based feature extraction module EDU 066 with 48 pins.
    • Search engine for speech recognition system EDU 076 with 48 pins.
  • Certificate of Membership for the contribution of Dr. G. Lakshminarayanan, Representative from nearby Incubation centre of Institution's Innovation council established under the MHRD's Innovation cellat the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli for the academic 2018-19
  • Research endeavours extend internationally also ie., made research collaborations with the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK, and University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh.
  • Since my last appointment, I have made substantial contributions to advancing the research mission, promoting innovation, and strengthening the industry collaboration landscape of our institute. These efforts have been supported by a committed team of fell ow assistant and associate professors, as well as my research scholars.
  • Successfully led and participated in several high-impact funded projects, collectively amounting to over ₹3.48 Core since 2018. In terms of intellectual property since last appointment, I have contributed to three granted patents and one filed patent, focusing on FFT architectures, asynchronous controllers, and low-power VLSI techniques with my team, significantly boosting the institute’s innovation portfolio. Furthermore, I collaborated with Maxvy Technologies, Bengaluru on a project involving functional coverage through constrained random verification, fostering industry-institute synergy. I also organized free and paid internships programmes in association with fellow assistant and associate professors bi-annually during summer and winter vacation period. These activities were aligned with NIT Trichy’s sponsored research projects and designed to encourage student involvement in subject-specific research and development.
  • Each semester, expert-led webinars are organized to provide industry insights and trends. Additionally, online brainstorming sessions with NIT Trichy alumni working in foreign universities are held to navigate research scholars towards open and ethical research goals, to share global perspectives, and strengthen NITT’s international alumni network.
  • In conjunction with these efforts, as a PMRF Advisor, I have actively organized and overseen a range of impactful outreach programs as part of the PMRF fellowship’s external TAship under my research scholar’s Research outreach mandate. These initiatives, carried out in collaboration with PMRF scholars, were aimed at enhancing technological awareness and fostering research interest among students across various neighbourhood and interstate colleges and universities in around several the South Indian states. The programs included intensive bootcamps on FPGA training, which provided hands-on exposure to VLSI and embedded systems, as well as workshops on reconfigurable hardware for AI based on FPGA to bridge the gap between hardware and machine learning applications.
  • Additionally, I facilitated seminar talks on emerging technologies with a particular focus on Open-source RISC-V architecture keeping make in India mission in mind, promoting discussions around its growing relevance in the academic and industrial landscape. The events were aimed at promoting technological awareness and sharing insights aligned with the R&D vision and mission of NIT Trichy with spirit of Digital India. These activities also served to enhance the visibility of NIT Trichy’s research initiatives and foster academic collaboration with foreign universities. All These efforts have directly contributed to enhancing the institute’s national and international visibility, expanded its capabilities in strategic areas like RISC V hardware, Reconfigurable Digital VLSI, and Neuromorphic AI computing systems, and laid the foundation for current and future NITT research ambitions, and industrial partnerships.
