- MOU BHEL and NITT for the period of Five year and the MOU envisages the following:
- Facilities for industrial visits, In-plant training / Students projects
- Faculty exchange programmes
- Jointly conducting short-term courses, seminars, and symposia.
- Utilising the infrastructure facilities for mutual benefits.
- Developing computer based and web based training.
- Joint publications including books, monographs and reviews.
- Consultancy
- Sponsored PhD and MS projects. Three Ph D and one MS scholar has joined through this MOU
- MOU BETWEEN FLSMIDTH AND NITT: A Memorandum of understanding is executed between FLS Automation India Private Limited, Chennai a Private Sector having its head office at Copenhagen, Denmark and National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. FLS Automation India Private Limited is a world wide leader in the field of Automation for cement Industries. It has been a forerunner on introducing advanced control strategies into cement Industries. NITT shall select M.S. and Ph.D. research scholars to work in the projects identified jointly by FLSA and NITT. These Research scholars will carry out their Research work at FLSA. FLSA will make their research facilities and laboratories available to them. A Ph D Scholar has joined under this MOU in the Department of Chemical Engineering this semester.
- BHARTI FOUNDATION, an Indian Trust incorporated in year 2000, having address at H 5/12 Qutab Ambience, Mehrauli Road, New Delhi and has decided to initiate Bharti Scholarship Scheme (hereinafter BSS) for students pursuing higher technical and management education. Under the said program,the company has agreed on a MOU to insititute a scholarship to support bright students on merit- cum-means basis to complete higher education. This is at present offered for B Tech Electronics Communication Engineering II nd Year students only
- IBM a multinational enterprise, engaged in providing technology solutions to its diverse business units in the areas of product development and support has entered into an agreement to explore the development of technologies, and capabilities of common interest and engage in research projects initially in, but not limited to, the areas of Autonomic computing, Grid computing, High Performance Computing, Software Architecture, Databases, Web services, soft tools development. This agreement operative for three years.
- The memorandum of understanding between NITT and BDU envisages the following
- Faculty Exchange between universities in specializations like Information Technology, Communication, Energy and Environment, Bioinformatics and other emerging research areas.
- The research scholars of the BDU and NITT shall be permitted to take courses as may be appropriate to fulfil the requirements in the curriculum, and earn credits. The credits thus earned will be mutually transferable between BDU and NITT.
- Collaborative research in the areas of mutual interest by the faculty of both BDU and NITT.
- Sharing of resources in research laboratories
- Submission of joint research proposals to appropriate funding agencies
- Sharing the expertise of Invited / visiting faculty of both BDU and NITT
- Jointly inviting experts from India and Abroad
- Development of Educational Cell to promote Edusat programmes
- Joint national and international conferences and workshops
- The Department of Chemistry and Department of Physics has initiated a MOU for collaborative research in the area organic, inorganic hybrid materials with National Institute for material science, Tsukuba, Japan
- NITT and Govt college of Engg Salem has signed MOU to develop and work on joint research and consultancy, jointly organize continuing education programs, seminars and conferences.
