Research areas

Our research group addresses the processing–structure–property relationships in structural alloys, spanning experiments, advanced characterisation, and computational modelling.

  • Deformation processing and sheet metal forming of structural alloys
  • Thermal and thermo-mechanical treatment of automotive-grade steels
  • Microstructure–property correlations through electron microscopy and in-situ mechanical testing
  • Machine learning and AI-driven modelling of microstructural evolution under extreme conditions
