M. S. (by Research) programme shall be offered in all engineering departments of the Institute. Specific areas (research topics) will be decided by the departments based on the following: a) Research interests of the Faculty, b) Research areas of mutual interest (considering NITT and sponsoring industries like BHEL) (such as Fuels, Design and operation of boilers, Welding / Fabrication of boilers, Occupational Safety, Modeling / Simulation and Non – Destructive Testing), and c) Research areas of other sponsored research projects
