Department Library

 The Department Library occupies a unique place in academic and research activities of the Department. It is perhaps the most important central facility provided by the Institute.   The Library was started in July 2006 with around 800 volumes, now it having around 1100 volumes. The Library maintains excellent collection of  data books, occasional papers and other documents/materials. The Library has well equipped facility for reading.

Teaching

Promote innovative use of information resources by linking information provision with learning programs, from the stage of the design of those programs through to their completion

Learning

In partnership with other institute staff, teach students to become information literate as basis for career long learning and real world problem solving

Research

Increase knowledge base available to researchers for the development of new knowledge, by using IT to improve access to information worldwide.

Students and Customers

Provide learning environments which are integrated with client-focused services, and which enhance effective learning and fairness for all customers.

Staff Capability

Recruit, support develop and retain skilled and committed staff, ensuring that they work in an enriching and stimulating environment, free from discrimination.

Rules:

  1. The library will be open from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on all working days.
  2. Each student of MCA or M.Sc(OR&CA) can take two books at a time and hold them for a period of 30 days
  3. Late returns of books incur a fine of Rs 0.50 /- per day including holidays.
  4. Reissue of the returned books will be possible only after a month
  5. Lost or damaged books must be replaced or double the price of the book must be paid.
  6. Books and personal belongs must not brought into the library
  7. Books are only for issue. You can refer them when library is open.
  8. Silence should be maintained inside the library
