  1. ISRO (Respond Scheme) project on “Strength Enhancement of AA2219 Aluminium Alloy Sheets/Plates by Cryo Rolling for Usage in Tankage Applications” was funded with Rs.30.73 Lakhs for the period of 2017-2020. (PI)
  2. Naval Research Board Project on “Development of High Strength Cast Al-Si Alloy Based Composite Reinforced with High Entropy Alloy Particles for Naval Torpedo Applications”, funded with Rs.30.05 Lakhs for the period of 2018-2021. (PI)
  3. ISRO (Respond Scheme) project on “Understanding the forming behavior of C103 alloy in different treated conditions for rocket engine nozzle applications” funded Rs.32.62 Lakhs for the period of 2019-2021. (Co-PI)
  4. SPARC project – under MHRD on “Additive manufacturing of next-generation alloys” in association with Prof. Filippo Berto and Prof. K.G. Prashanth from NTNU, Norway, and funded with Rs.78.299 lakhs for the period of 2019-2022.
  5. DUO-INDIA Fellowship from ASEM-DUO along with Prof N. Hari Babu, Brunel University, UK.

 

Completed projects:

  1. DST Fast Track project on “Development of ultra-high strength aluminum based in situ composites by cryorolling” funded with 12 lakhs for the period of 2009-2012.
  2. Naval Research Board project on “The effect of micro-arc oxidation process on corrosion and fatigue properties of aluminum alloy and its weldments used in naval applications” was funded with 19.056 lakhs for the period of 2010-2012.
  3. UGC networking project along with IISc on “Development of metal-intermetallic laminates by diffusion bonding”. Collaborator Dr. Karthikeyan, Asst Prof. Dept of Materials Engg., IISc, Bangalore. (Financial aspects from the IISc side only).
  4. Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) under ER & IPR scheme project on “Development of lightweight in situ metal-intermetallic laminates for defence applications” funded with 56.15 lakhs for the period of 2011-2013. Collaborator Dr. B. Ravisankar, Associate Professor, Dept of MME, NIT Trichy.
