    Dear Alumnus,

    The XI Convocation is rescheduled to August 22, 2015 (Saturday) from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.

    Registration to attend the XI CONVOCATION 2015 (in person or in absentia)

    Registration for the XI convocation on the rescheduled date has commenced afresh.
    Every graduand of the year 2015 is expected to register online in our website
    http://www.nitt.edu/prm/nitreg/Convocationatt.aspx
    to receive the degree. The site will be open until 19.8.2015.

    Information for graduands who receive the degrees in person

    Graduands will receive their degree certificates in person from the Director on the dais.
    The Graduands are requested to wear formal attire befitting the occasion.
    Boys should be dressed in shirts and pants and girls should wear sarees or salwars.(T shirts and jeans are not allowed)
    The Graduands must be present for the convocation wearing their respective academic robes/gown.
    The Institute will arrange to supply the gown for the occasion at the Convocation Reception Office*.
    Please note that the gowns will be issued only to the Graduands, in person, and not to their representatives.
    The rental charges towards the gown shall be borne by the Institute. A refundable deposit of Rs. 400/- has to be deposited to the supplier while collecting the gowns at the reception office. The deposit towards the gown will be refunded immediately on the return of the gown after the convocation.

    Registration time: On campus registration will commence from 8:15 am on 22-08-15 and close definitely by 10:30 am. Graduands will not be issued the convocation gown after 10:30 a.m.
    Graduands are requested to assemble in the Convocation Hall at 11.00 a.m. for a rehearsal.
    Graduands are required to occupy their allotted seats at the BARN before 1.30 p.m. on 22.8.2015 and will not be allowed to enter the BARN after 1:30 p.m.
    It is mandatory that the decorum of the convocation proceedings should be maintained by every graduate until the procession leaves the convocation hall.
    Entry pass will be issued to the guests of the registrants. Possession of entry pass is mandatory to occupy a seat in the BARN.
    Please note that children below 12 years are not allowed into the convocation hall during the convocation.
    The Institute bus will be available at Tiruchirappalli Junction at 9.00 p.m. on 21.8.2015 and 4.30 to 5:30 a.m. on 22.8.2015 to receive the graduands to the institute.
    Breakfast and Lunch will be provided in B3 Mess for the graduands and their guests.
    The degrees will NOT be issued to PG and Ph.D. graduands if the copy of the previous academic degrees have not been produced with the application for convocation.
    The degree will NOT be issued to a graduand who has not cleared the dues.
    The degrees will be despatched by speed post service of INDIA POST immediately after convocation, to the candidates who would not appear in person.
    The degrees will be posted to the address provided for registration to attend the convocation. Any change in the address, after registration may kindly be e-mailed to degree@nitt.edu
