Student Activities:
The spirit of being in DoMS is the freedom one gets, to explore life, without compulsions, without any crushing force from academic pressures; generally people pursue one or more skills, join clubs and groups to work for their own self on something disconnected from academics.
The best part about DoMS is that the intake of students is from all over India.There are students of different states/culture/language. DoMS students actively participate in various events like FESTEMBER, NITTFEST, SYMPOSIUMS, and SPORTS DAY etc.
Extracurricular activities include participation in Entrepreneurship Cell, CRY, Tree Plantation Program and Spirit-ed.
SPIRIT-ed:
A rural computer literacy program initiated by the students of NIT Trichy. It started with a small batch of 10-12 members from both MBA and B.Tech.
The prime motive behind this program was to provide computer education at schools that lack infrastructure and resources , there by imparting computer literacy among the students.This small effort was encouraged by the initiative of IT big giant TCS providing 50 computers for this cause.
DoMS students are also active members in participatory club APEKSHA providing education in small schools.
